Fireplace - stone detail

otterine

The fireplace has gone from primer grey to fabulous white stone. I lightly sanded the roughness after the primer coat had completely dried. I then used an array of paints to create the final coloration and finish. I dotted on the paint in layers and then used heavily diluted paint washes. I dabbed the last wash after letting it sit a minute, and I was left with a fine white stone finish with a hint of sage green. I need to wait for this final layer to dry before deciding if I need more washes, or just touch-ups, but I really like the way it looks right now.
