I tried several different methods, and found that the best for me was to put the trim up against the wall (unsanded) and stuccoed in between the trim.... then I took the trim back off, sanded it, stanined it then glued it on. I clear coated over the whole thing once the trim was glued.

your welcome :) there may be an easier way.... Deb told me she traced the trim onto the house, and then stuccoed between the lines, I found for me couldn't get it to look right doing it this way. My way is pretty messy, but I found when the trim was unsanded... it worked because as I prepared the trim for staining I was able to sand off all the spackle that got onto it :)
