Butter Up - 7-6-11

rackey

Originally, I wanted the house painted blue, but Barbara had leftover yellow paint that I loved, and since I had seen Garfield houses on this site that were in yellow, I couldn't get yellow out of my mind. Officially the paint is labled Butter Up, but I think Buttercup would have been more appropriate. I primed the bottom half of the house and porch, but Barbara did all of the official house painting and the white trim. The paint brings out the staining, so for now I decided not to place shingles on the roof, which was my original intent.

I also thought we would start on the inside first, but Barbara thought I would get more of a feeling of accomplishment once I saw the outside painted. She was right!
