I have a slew of chairs similar to the one you have here in this bedroom (your's is probably a much higher quality than mine, though). I use them a lot in the Christmas roomboxes I make on commission (it helps pay for this greedy little habit we all seem to share).

Anyway, although the white is lovely because you you do have some white in this room to compliment it, I thought I would pass along a trick I found.

At Hobby Lobby, right next to the Sharpies in the artist's section they have these beautiful (albeit expensive) markers which have huge paintbrush-like tips. They work wonderfully at "painting" this silky fabric to make a custom-colored chair without having to reupholster. I recently did one in a pale violet color for someone and have done many many in red, green & blue (actually, for the bolder colors, ordinary Sharpies work fine).

I love your idea, I have always wished the chair fabric was something other than white! And luckily I did not have to pay too much for this chair. But with your idea could get more and apply your trick!
