Trimming stair opening.jpg

Since the instructions for the house do not allow for any type of "finishing" I was presented with the problem of how to disguise the "raw" edges all around the stair openings. Got a suggestion from JoMed and Holly to use iron on veneer to finish the edges. Great idea but I didn't want to invest any more money into this house because I know it's going to take a real beating from the 3 yr old it's going to. So instead I used the same cherry veneer strips I used for the flooring and finished off the inside raw edges and the area around the opening.
