The stairs were difficult to build and keep square. I had to trim each baluster to size because I didn't use parts that came with the kit. To get them even and straight and then fit the handrail on top was frustrating to say the least. I didn't think about doing something like Hallowell did with his stairs which is a good idea. I also like how he partitioned the room at the top of the stairs.
