Curtains

While I've met women who can literally do ANY-THING they put their mind to, most of us have at LEAST one nemesis out there... I have three: anything automotive (a flat tire leaves me at home in bed for the day), homemade pie crusts (thank GOD for Pillsbury), and sewing. Can't sew. Not even a button. Given the choice between fixing a hem and throwing the garment away (after I yank off the buttons and cut out a nice piece of fabric for some future mini job)...

Anyway, I was fortunate with all the valances in this house because they were a loose plaid/check weave that only required a steady hand with a sharp knife and a little fringeing. But I knew I wanted lace in the bedroom and was worried that I would have to trim so piece of lace and sew up the edges or use Stiffy (which had I wanted "stiff", I'd have just used a doily). When I found this lace at Hobby Lobby, I was so tickled.
