Mortar Joints

pdlnpeabody

The only real material involved in making faux brick walls is the mortar, for which I use pewter tinted tile grout. For it to create the desired effect it will need a channel to fill, so all of the mortar lines, or "joints" have to be cut out. I use an Exacto knife and run the blade along the joint lines at a 45 degree angle. The channels don't need to be deep, so a V shaped groove will work fine.
