I used Meyercord decals (#1505B) on the exterior. Marked 1977, I had to coax them to stick, but I love them . . . they have silver and gold-fleck paint and I think the colors are still bright. Tole painting or Pennsylvania Dutch-type designs really bring back memories from childhood - I guess it was more popular years ago.
