The Fish Hut
I was extremely pleased to be able to compete in this years SpringFling contest, having always wanted to make a scale model of a 20s garage. However when it came to actually building your latest kit, I couldn't help but see it as an old time fishing hut with an attached boathouse. The kit is so wonderfully versatile!
Other than the actual buildings, everything except for the flowers in the window, the barrel, the bucket and the mussels inside it... which I beachcombed from the lake that we live on, is made from scratch.
I elevated the building with a foamcore "foundation" & lengthened the dock posts to allow "water" and "waves" to flow underneath.
