Are there supposed to be windows here that you left off? Or no windows on this side in the half scale version?

Yes, there were windows and I hated giving them up, but in order to have kitchen cabinets, I had to. I think when I landscape, I will do a trellis or something there so it doesn't look so blank.

After looking at your kitchen (which is great!) I think that was the right choice. It would have been hard to fit cabinets in there otherwise.

I love that little round window on the side of the house -- it's unexpected! I assume that's over the staircase? Can you see it from inside?

Yes, that little round window is by the staircase. It's right by the first little turn in the stairs. It can be seen from certain angles.
