These are pics after deciding not to add the porch. I had a bay roof I made ages ago. If it doesn't look right when I get to it, I'll make another. I'm going to have 3" porch rails and newel posts. I'd take the porch floor off but there is no other front foundation. I could make one I guess so maybe I will remove it.

You could used the base as a foundation for landscaping. For example, you could make some wide flower beds.

That's what I think I'll do. I'll add a step to the foundation up to the door and put plants and flowers in terra cotta pots and baskets so it won't look like a porch floor. Maybe I'll use my wallpaper brick to cover the wood.
