Workshop

Jo Med

Just about everything in here was built as separate little project, the workbench has everything glued on it including a box for things like rolls of tape, little nails and fishing hooks - all there but not visible in pics. The shelves I built from the left over larder shelves I didn't use in my Garfield. I wanted these to look like that orangey sort of paint used on metal shelves so I mixed a great colour, painted it and then varnished it - and blow me, it looked just like mahogany - not really what I wanted but as its in the shadows anyway, I went with it. I filled it with bits and bobs I had collected for the Garfield and lots of specials bought for this project. It looks great in RL but doesn't have the same impact in pictures.

The tool rack on the wall is a piece of wood with "rusted" nails glued in. The tools all hang within reach above the workbench.

OMG, for a minute I thought I was looking at a picture of my uncle's garage! This is SO delightfully realistic! The whole thing is amazingly detailed (especially the bathroom which I love) It's all so cool, I love it!
