Yes this fireplace actually glows and flickers like a REAL fireplace...it cost me 40 dollars...its through cirkit....at christmas time you can hook christmas lights to it to make your dollhouse christmas tree flicker! I CANT WAIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
