the lanternroom

You can't see that I prepped the floor, scribing "boards" and nailholes and staining it. I painted the window parts of the window walls to match the rest of the trim and inside I stained the lower walls and paneled them.

I also made one wall section a door to the outside, since all the lighthouses I have been in have a door for the keeper to exit the lanternroom to the walk outside. I did the walkway with more of the terra cotta "tiles". The door handles are the straight part of hook & eye fasteners; they look good enough I'll also use them for the front door.
