Dining Room

janet

I finished the floor, walls and curtains in the dining room. The Blue Willow wallpaper is printed from the Stokesayware website. I used the same pattern to print up the fabric for the curtains. This was my first time printing on fabric and the first time using my homemade pleater, but I am happy with the way the curtains turned out.

Sill need to do lighting and finish the molding.

Thanks!

For the pleater, I used a scrap of plywood, I think it was about 6x8, and glued skinny craft stick to it, on edge. When I used it, I used more craft sticks to hold the fabric in place while the starch was drying.

I can post a picture, if my description doesn't make sense.

Thanks Janet :) i am assuming the sticks are fairly close together to form the pleat ....great idea :) i'm going to try it :)

I think you should post the pics...i'm sure there will be more people interested in this fabulous idea :flowers:

Wallpaper and matching fabric for the curtains looks lovely, you have made a great job of the curtains btw, they hang so realistically and the voile is a great touch. I love the ones in your music room too.
