Antique cabinet

It's a lovely cabinet, Greg, and what a neat idea to use it to display miniature scenes!

I recently learned that 18th century Dutch dollhouses were done that way. A dollhouse was a cabinet, where every shelf represented a story of the house, including separate rooms and stairs.

Do you happen to know what wood the cabinet is made of? The color is magnificent.
