I ripped out the original stairs which were extremely wide and came up to the back of the house so you couldnt see inside the room. i turned around the wall on the left so that the arch wouldnt be in the way and i cut a new hole in the second floor. the wall on the right side of the stairs was originally supporting the treads of the kit stairs but i trimmed it and now the houseworks stairs sit snugly in between them.

Nice job, Jeffrey. This is about what I had planned as well, however at the moment I'm playing with the idea of using a spiral staircase. :)
