Lawbre Shadow Cliff Windows and Porch

The windows took MONTHS to take apart and paint! Some acrylic had to be replaced because of yellowing. The front porch roof was trimmed out and the porch floor was stained and finished.

Beautiful! Well done. Any tips on taking apart yellowing windows? I have some in my Thornhill kit that have yellowed and will have to be changed out.

Hi, I had to purchase some acrylic that would fit in the window sash.  I found some from Melody Jane on Etsy.  The bottom of the window sash comes off so you can take the acrylic out and paint the wood.  I used a utility knife to cut the new acrylic to match.  They slid right into the window sashes.  If your windows were glued together, you can use a hair dryer to soften the glue.  If that was confusing, let me know and I’ll take close up pictures.
