I decided on foam sheets smeared with bathroom caulk, and painted with the same grey paint called slate that I used for the foundation. I was happy with how the caulk textured the foam. The foam is sticky, but I used tacky glue for extra strength. At first I was putting the rows too close together. Idk if you can see where I spaced them better. To help it look less obvious, I'm going to try and replicate on the other roof sections.
