To panel or leave plain?

Shareb

Okay, so I was going to do an ordinary attic - one with boxes and old trunks etc, maybe herbs drying.  HOWEVER....now...I'm wondering if I do it like the secret room in the series.  In the programme they go through a concealed door at the back of the shop, into a room decorated in the same way but with shelves of skulls and other curiosities.  Raymond reads Claire's runes in the same room.  SO.....do I panel and paint the attic and then decorate like the secret room?  I didn't put in lights, however I could easily hide wires behind the new panelling and run the wires down the outside of the building hidden in 'spouting' etc.  That's assuming they had spouting then??

Ooh, I vote for the concealed room if you can possibly make it work!  It would be such fun to decorate. They definitely had spouts back then.  The first downspout was installed in London in 1240.
