Stripped down, ready to start the finishing

uppitycats

It's been awhile that I've been able to work on Ms. Washington, but now that my time is free, things are going well. I was wondering about that external trim running along the lower and upper sides of the house -- I figured out that the previous owner was trying to hide the tabs, and so glued on trim. I took it all off, and have to do some patching with wood putty or spackle (or both!), but I think the house looks taller without it, and so much better!

I want to get rid of the red painted fireplaces and chimney. I have some paint remover, so that will be the next step. But for now, everything except the papered attic floor has been removed, sanded, the windows all sanded, and now I'm measuring the inside windows to make frames.
