?? lace to make a doll dress 1:12

So may questions ? What does everyone who makes their own doll clothes or dresses dolls. I would this at a antique store its 6" across I though I could make a dress out of it (I have 2 pieces . ?? #1 does it feel like the right scale ? What era would it be best for? How do I soften it moe to have it drape . It folds pretty easily. Karin couldn't help but think of you when I saw it .
