The gold and pink both shimmer in different lights and are very light and flowy.  The royal blue velvet is gorgeous - so rich.  The other two are beautiful - whether I use them in this or not....  Plus I bought the lacey stuff which I can cut out in use in numerous ways.

Yeah all the fabric colors are really beautiful and you know what velvet is an amazing play of light and shade, resulting in varying color depth. These effects are enhanced with a dramatic draped effect, which creates folds. Not surprisingly, such a magnificent fabric has always been used by ceremonial dresses of monarchs and the higher clergy. The most luxury velvet is produced by such renowned European brands as Pontoglio, Redaelli, Bouton-Renaud, Carnet and Jakob Schlaepfer.
