Front of the house

KathieB

This is the dollhouse our father build for my sister and me sometime in the late 40s or early 50s. It is made of plywood, with real glass windows. It is not a kit. I think he had plans that he built it from, but I'm not sure. The rooms are huge by dollhouse standards ... overall dimensions are 36" wide and 24" deep. I haven't measured doors and windows yet, but they all seem to be larger than standard 1:12 scale.

This house has been rehabbed and turned into a quilt shop. The process was blogged at KathieB Minis on Blogspot.
