Oof these took some doing. It took me quite a few tries to get a good connection on the left ceiling light even when using large brads. I finally got it in though! It's held up with adhesive dots so I can fix it if I need to but the center is ever so slightly droopy so I may go back and add a dot. I made a more modern range hood for the stove a couple weeks ago that I put in using caulk so that any gaps between it and the stucco wall would be filled. Im really happy with the look. It's just mat board and scrap book paper. The light on the inside is just one of those pin lights you plug directly into the tape.
