The lamps I had gotten for the bedroom didn’t work.  They would have worked if I could have gotten the #&**&@  Cir-kit mini outlet to work, but since it wouldn’t work in the bedroom, either, I made my own lamps from beads.  I think they look fairly mid-century.  I did end up cutting notches in the back, because I didn’t like any additional base I tried.
