Secret Staircase to Tower

As I was building the Tower of my Beacon, I thought about all that space that I would loose if I did not make it into a room. The problem was how were my people going to get up to the tower. I decided that my Beacon needed a secret staircase because all old houses should have secret staircase to a hidden room. I designed on paper a number of options and finally came up with this design.

The idea is to put a bookcase in the hall that opens to a secret staircase. The ceiling in the hall will have a beams with a trap door to the tower. To hide the staircase, I cut a hole between the 3rd floor hall and the bedroom. I will build a wall in the bedroom that extends the existing bump out in the room created by the mansard roof in the front of the house.
