Balloon Valance

After watching episode one of PBS Masterpiece ''Victoria '' I had to try my hand at balloon valances, I need to dig out my seam binding and then it will go easier next time. this time it was to figure out the best way to make it. Cord was used just like a real balloon valance to draw it up. I always wanted to try this, but didn't want to cover up the Gothic window design.

Very nice - I love how it softens up the room, and I think you got the balance right - not covering up too much of the design of the windows.
