Yes it IS a flashlight.  My dioramas are modernish as you know....Not sure I need to do anything on this.  Quite bright.  I got 3 of them.  I found another little flashlight that uses 2 round batteries so I will be making a hanging light and floor lamp.  Not now..but thought you would like these.  Every Ace is different.
