new stairs coming along

I ordered new stair sheets from Greenleaf and have started the puzzle of putting them together. I stained the steps and handrails separately and painted everything else a beige color. I wanted to add some trim to hide my oopsies and realized the trim was in the way of where the step slides in, well good thing I used balsa wood strips, I was able to cut a little notch and then push the step into the balsa wood.

I think your trim is a great idea!  It really gives a finished look to your stairs - and hides those ridiculous tabs!
