porch base rear view

Yup- for whatever reason, the original builder didn't install the rear panels on the base of the porch and didn't attach it to the house. So that is what I am going to fix...but I am thinking of using a cleat attached to the front wall rather than try to glue on another rear panel to the base of the porch.

Hey Jackie, do the supports under the porch only extend part way across the floor? because that's also different than my north park.   I'm wondering if this really is just a different design from the current kit.  I'm not entirely sure I understand your plan with the "cleat" but when you do it I'll be interested to see a picture.  The point where the house joins the porch is obviously a weak point structurally, and I'm worried it's going to make it almost impossible to safely lift the house from that end.

Yes- I understand your concern about the weak point....hoping my hubby with his drill and some wood screws will do the trick!  :)  Also, the house was transported on a baseboard so that will make it easier and safer getting it back home in one piece.

I am totally depending on my hubby ( a high-end kitchen cabinet installer) to help me with the design and logistics of attaching this porch!  LOL
