Cuckoo Clock

I'm working on assembling this cuckoo clock kit I got from M&E Miniatures on Etsy. The detail is awesome and the clock is a laser cut kit made from cherry wood. I've used a couple of different stains on it to get different effects and not obscure the details while trying to get as close to the coloring of a cuckoo clock my dad had.

I'm assembling it a little differently than how the instructions tell you to do it, but they are only guidelines, right? :D

April sent me some beautiful tiny pine cones to use in place of the weights that came with this clock, but I haven't been able to get them to work and already destroyed one messing with it. I decided to assemble it with the weights it came with for now while I experiment with the remaining cones.

This clock will hang in the White Orchid :D
