Interior view of new third floor

Myangela

Had a half moon left over, thought this would be a nice place for it. I have plans for lighting the space between the two bedrooms, the light will also illuminate thru this window above the bathroom door.

I am so glad you're adding the privacy door to the bathroom! So which side of the wall will the bathroom be? I love the window over the door... It'll be great so you can just peek in.

Wow, I'm just working on the third floor now. You make a great point about the bathroom, however, the windowed door is to the hallway, the bath is up front. The master is a peek into, I thought I should make this one open. But, I agree, peeking in is way cooler. It's not too late to make a change. Thank you!

I don't know; peeking into the hallway would be really neat too. I'm just glad you're adding the door because it really bugs me when dhs have a bathroom with no walls for privacy. How can little people be expected to use the bathroom when someone can walk down the hall and see them? :)

I really love the idea of a hallway though. Not many houses have them and I think they're necessary for realism.

I think I also need to clarify my comment... having a bathroom open for US to look into isn't what I'm talking about when I say it bugs me. For example, my dh layout is such that there is no wall between the hallway and the bathroom, so when little people walk by, they look right into the room. That's just wrong! It would be much better to have the bathroom butt up against the outside wall, and the hallway to the inside of the house than the way it is now--much like you are doing here.

Does that make sense?
