Time to Build

jle5010

So the original two additions I had planned have been scrapped. After measuring and measuring for over an hour, my dad and I decided that we just couldn't make the addition on the staircase side of the house look right with a doorway of proper size under the stairs or off the first landing. This was originally going to be a library addition but that idea had been scrapped a few days ago when I realized that I didn't have the budget necessary to buy that many miniature books. It was then going to be a conservatory but that will now take the place of what the kitchen addition was going to be.

So the dry build has been taken apart and now the new wall on the kitchen side of the house is being cut to allow for the conservatory addition that will be built. This will have a large doorway with a pass through counter leading to the conservatory from the kitchen area. I like to think that this house in the end will be an old English Cottage that has been well maintained and slightly remodeled for the 21st century.

I like it too. Just remember that you can make books too, fairly easily and much more cheaply than buying them all. Just something to think about. :)

I have looked into how to make books that look real, and think I will give it a try, since even though I eliminated the library I still plan on having books and bookcases anywhere I can. But I have had my eye on a miniature set of Harry Potter books that I will definitely have to splurge on when the time comes.
