McKinley First Dollhouse

Hi,

i am working on the Mckinley. Yours is gorgeous. I have been looking at your pictures. I love the cafe doors. I made one about twenty years ago. You would think I would be able to remember how to do the front porch. Could you answer a question for me? I don’t understand why there are to pieces to make the front porch floor. The instructions aren’t clear to me. Why are there two porch floors? I am fine with the large piece with the slots for the tower but I don’t understand the other one with the large cut out piece. When I put that one under the top porch. I can’t make the assembly of the porch flush with the living room floor. Do you have any suggestions?

It's not a porch roof piece? I'm not Pat, btw.  Pats last post to this album was in 2012.
