Erica Sue
Hello, I have been building my first dollhouse the duracraft heritage, honestly I hate that house nothing lined up and all sorts of things going wrong with it, so gluten for punishment I bought the duracraft Cambridge dollhouse with high hopes of better instructions and easier build.
havanaholly
Welcome to the little family, Erica. A large box with square sides is your friend when assembling a Dura-Craft house. I built a Cambridge, my second-ever build after building the Dura-Craft San Franciscan (the 555 model). The walls and tongue-and-groove sections of wood with the siding milled in and they slide into the longframe corner pieces, so the box with two sides cut away will help you get those corners squared. A couple of long clamps to hold things together whilst the glue dries will also help with your sanity. MamaV
I'm sorry to hear about the poor experience with your first house, but I hope the second turns out better! Welcome!
Erica Sue
Thank you both. I have the square tool, but I am going to try the square box thing and hopefully that helps, in a Facebook miniature group I am in some who have built the heritage have complained about the vague directions and how the house seems to not stay squared....lol I pray that the Cambridge is easier
havanaholly
I haven't built a Heritage, but the Camgridge's windows were a whole lot easier than those of the San Franciscan!
Erica Sue
The heritage windows suck big time, so by the sound of it I will like working on the Cambridge

Does the Cambridge house have any doors inside for the rooms or would I have to make my own cuts to put some in?
havanaholly
I don't recall any interior doors, but you could probably figure out some.
