flk01
help- I bought two table lamps in germany and before I plug them into my house, I want to be sure the light bulbs can handle our AC current. I tried removing them to substitute US bulbs, but the thread size is different. Does anyone know if the AC/DC difference is going to be a problem or if it is moot because of the transformer? Thanks for your help and if you prefer, reply to me at vsybert@hotmail.com
darrellandmelissa
This post was typed by Melissa, Dictated by Darrell. The AC will not be a problem. The only thing you need to be concerned about is the voltage rating of the bulbs. We us 12 volts, I do not know what they use. as long as it is close it should be fine. In the case of lightbulbs, whether it's AC or DC doesn't matter. Darrell
