Christmas 2006
I finally got the Orchid mounted on a turntable and moved upstairs. It's in a corner of the dining room, out of the traffic pattern, but in a nice place to be seen.
Aunt Mayme doesn't decorate much for the holidays. She usually spends Christmas eve and Christmas day with her brother's family. But since the Twins are coming to visit, she gussied up the house a little bit, and even put up a tree.
The decorated tree out front is Melanie's contribution to the 1/2-scale Christmas swap. I thought it looked just right outside. The garlands and wreaths are tinsely pipe cleaners. The figures on the porch are a set of salt and pepper shakers that I found on sale in the canteen at the VA hospital in Columbia, MO. (Minis: they're everywhere!)
