So are you doing the shingles like an inlay floor?

OH no no no no ,, Just going to cut the shingles from siding - I ordered some shingles a ways back - And they are so thick I found them unusable, So will just use siding cut pieces to length and shingle like normal - Except there will be no overhang and no sharp edges to cut little fingers. Just debating on leaving them square or cut the corners a bit for effect.
