I started with the bookcases (four altogether) that I have had since I was a kid. I built the fireplace unit to go with them. The upper cabinet will contain the flat screen and the lower cabinet will have the dvd player. I am trying to decide whether to light the upper cabinet to make the stained glass more visible, or just to put a light-colored backing on the doors. The flat-screen inside will be black, so that might not work with the glass.
