I'm digging back in the photos to find sneak peeks now since the build is too far along to show anything recent. One change I made to the kit was to replace the laser cut door with a scratch built one made from balsa. This particular sheet of balsa I bought was very dense and nearly like bass wood. It has a lovely grain.
I scored lines on the inside and outside to make it look as though it were made from individual planks. On the inside, I added cross bar detailing, also using balsa.
I painted the door Clover by Folk Art with a light sanding afterward. The working hinges are from Olde Mountain Miniatures. I've since added a handle and inside latch by the same maker.
