Otter Springs Started landscaping

kellyannmo

I bought an 8x10 frame at Kmart... I made sure the frame back was a nicer "press" board and not cardboard.... I took the glass out and I am using it for the landscape frame.... I thought it was a neat idea (and a lazy one LOL... I didn't have to built a frame)

I've been putting my houses in frames for several years now, and I really love using them. Not only do they give it a more finished look, it allows for easy transport for the houses I donate. It also gives a better base for landscaping. I buy the big open ones at Pat Catan's on clearance, and cut them to the size I need.I use thin sheets of plywood from Lowe's or Home Depot, and foam sheets to carve features. I do a lot of ponds and creeks, so the frames give the extra stability i need.

The roof is similar to the one I did on my Asor a few months ago, your's turned out nice!

thank you... I saw your roof it inspired me :) the thought of clay shingles for some reason still scares me :) I really like the frame too.... I framed my spring fling with regular dollhouse crown molding... it came out ok... but I really like using the picture frame :) Your Astor was awesome... I have one in my stash that someday I will get to building :)
