finally started

after much trial and error to make the right thickness of bricks out of paper mache, I ordered some Claycrete paper mache from the Joanne's website. The first two kinds I made from paper, then from toilet paper... both were lumpy and I could not roll it out thin enough. Then there was the issue of the dry sheet buckling and being hard to cut. This stuff rolled out smoothly with no lumps. It was easy to roll it out to a good thickness. I trimmed the strips while it was still slightly damp so there was very little bowing of the strips when it was dry. Success!!
