Where are you going to install the second staircase. I just started building mine and that bothered me, no access to 3rd floor. Love your photos because figuring out how everything goes....fireplaces etc....are involved. I'm going to save this as a tutorial. I also ordered porch rails etc to upgrade and spindles and chair rails to upgrade that. I love the look. Want to put in window by entrance door to let more light in by staircase and trying to decide if I should open up wall in foyer so you can go to kitchen that way. I think it will make a charming B&B.

Well, I just got the whole house taken apart and stripped all the siding and shingles off and all the wallpaper. I am almost finished priming everything and getting ready to dry fit everything back together. I am not sure yet where exactly the staircase to the third floor will be - I have to wait until I dry fit everything and get the staircases (I haven't received them yet . . . I was hoping they would come today, but they didn't). I am sure the staircases will need a little modification too! I will post pics when I get everything dry fitted and decide where to put the staircase.
