Downstairs in Progress

Bogie

My first try at Paperclay on the fireplace wall. It was so much easier than using spackling. It shrank like crazy and separated from the mantel. But I was able to go back and fill it in.

My open stair case came out just as I dreamed. Some of the kit pieces looked really rough on the exposed edges so I replaced a lot of parts with basswood. I had to go to three cities and five craft stores to find all the wood thicknesses I need to finish the both the stairs and banisters.
