Ah, the brick. Now this *is* a story.

When I was a young'un, back in the 70s, I had a dollhouse. It came with horrid plastic brick sheets, which I turned my nose up at, and my parents very kindly got me clapboard siding to upgrade the house. But my mother, ever-careful, couldn't bring herself to throw the brick sheets away, and so they came back to me a few years ago, and I too kept them for who-knows-what... well, this project was it.

The nasty 1970s plastic brick sticks with GE silicone adhesive, if you're wondering what to do with your own, and not much else. One 5–6 dollar tube did this whole building (but it is rather small). Because the brick was die-cut for that old house (which I still have, still lovely in its clapboard siding), cutting it to fit this building was an exercise in patience—lots of cutting ragged edges, then making ragged edges on the next piece to butt up against the first piece, etc.
