Since the planning stages, this room has always made me think of my husband's grandmother. Beginning in about this era (early 60's) her hobby was traveling in Europe. Sadly, we lost her last month. Someday, I will miniaturize some of her travel journals and add those to the bookshelves. I never meant this to be her house - but I think that she would have been comfortable here. I like to think of her here with her late husband and a couple of friends, playing cards and discussing their latest adventure.
