Fairfield - Tower and Porches

Satinka

For the front of the house, I really liked several houses I saw with the porch roof turned into a balcony and doors rather than windows in the tower. I didn't have any type of power tools at the time and somehow thought I could just use a small saw to cut the holes for the french doors. The side pieces were just too thin and the wood split and broke in several places. I tried to glue what I could but in the end I used tape to firm it up and decide the door trim will really end up hiding most of it.<br><br>

It did help convince my hubby to get me a Dremel though. <img class="bbc_emoticon" alt="<img src='http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif' class=bbc_emoticon' alt='smile.gif' />" src="http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif">

I love how you describe building your dollhouse step by step. Especially because I am a newbie. You make it so that if something doesn't quite go the right way, it can always be fixed or rectified. Thank you sooo much for posting on The Forum!!
