Scratch built fireplace/staircase dividing wall

Jeffrey

I scratch built this fireplace and staircase dividing wall from foamcore. i used extra brick sheeting from the exterior of the house. the fireplace surround is made from scrap trim from a houseworks door. the stairs are houseworks as well. I built the landing out of basswood and foamcore. the built-in cabinets on either side are a bashed michaels hutch. the hearth is another piece of peel and stick tile from home depot. The fireplace grate is a plastic hair curler from the dollar store. (Thanks Jeanne "MerriMagic")

This is FABULOUS!! Jeffrey, you are doing a great job. I'm so jealous because it seems men are natural "builders" and have an eye for architect! Keep the pics coming, I'm loving your work! #numberonefan#
